Good morning, beautiful soul!
Last week was so lovely, friend! Thank you for joining me!
This week, we're gonna take some time to check in with our posture and give our body a little alignment love. As we dance, we'll tune in, sense our alignment, and explore ways that we might help our body to feel more supported, lighter, and at ease, both in class and throughout life.
The big question this week:
How does my posture feel?
First, we'll simply tune in:
How does your current (habitual) posture feel from the inside out?
As you scan your body, what do you sense in your:
• Feet
• Legs
• Hips/pelvis
• Abdomen
• Lower back
• Upper back
• Ribcage
• Chest
• Shoulders
• Neck
• Head
How about when you are:
• Sitting
• Standing
• Dancing
• Working
• Doing dishes
• Talking on the phone
• Scrolling
• Typing
• Driving
• Waiting
• Grocery shopping
• Cooking
• Gardening
• Reading
• ________________?
We'll keep our practice super simple...
While dancing, and throughout our day, we'll simply tune in & sense our posture.
How does it feel?
Then we can experiment & explore: Is there anything about your posture you'd like to change/tweak to help your body feel better (lighter, more aligned, at ease, spacious, free, alert, energized)?
Perhaps one small, specific aspect you'd like to focus on practicing?
