Practicing listening.

Oh man, last week's focus on ease felt soooooooo great. It was just what I was needing. Thanks so much for joining me.
THIS week, let's dive into a practice of listening.
Listening deeply:
To the music.
To each other.
To your body.
To the sounds of life --of the moment, right here, right now-- all around you.
To the silence... the space... the in-between...
To your inner self, heart, knowing, spirit....
To ________________.
We'll practice listening as a way to:
1) stay present
2) notice small details
3) foster more intimacy and connection
4) inspire our movement
We'll tune into our ears for this (definitely), but we might also explore: what is it to listen with our whole body? What it is like to receive what is being communicated via all of our senses? What else (beyond words) might we sense is being communicated?
We can even try it out right now. What if you just take a few deep breaths and then simply tune into the sounds around you? What do you sense? What do you hear? What do you feel? What do you notice?
In class, we'll have music and each other to listen to.... but how about outside of class? Where/when in your day-to-day life might you practice more deep, receptive, present listening? When you do, what do you sense/notice? Is it helpful in your body, life, friendship, work, or relationships?
We can also explore: when you slow down & quiet down to be in a state where you can really listen, how does it feel throughout your body? Does it feel different than other times?
Ah... I'm so looking forward to this one, and (as always) can't wait to see what we discover together. Thanks so much for being here, friend. See you soon!
Much love,
Dani
