The sensations of LOVE-ing.

ree

Ooh friend, I can't wait to dive into this one with you. This week, let's explore the sensation of LOVE-ing.

Different from exploring love as a personal feeling, this week is about exploring love as a verb. An action. Something we DO.

Then, as an embodiment practice, we'll tune in: What do you sense/notice in your body when you are doing something as an act of love?

How does it feel to, for example...

• Give a loved one a call?

• Stop to listen to a loved one who is opening up to you?

• Make a loving meal for someone?

• Give a loving hug?

• Smile and/or wave to a stranger you pass?

• Send someone you love a text to check-in?

• Take some time to connect with someone you love?

• Help someone in a time of need?

• Strike up a genuinely friendly conversation with the cashier at the store?

• Surprise a loved one to brighten their day?

• Take a moment to slow down to give a loved one a snuggle?

• Support someone through something difficult?

• Other examples? What comes to mind for you?

The big questions this week:

• What can you DO to LOVE others this week?

• How does it feel to be LOVEing?

What do you sense/notice in your body?

On the dance floor...

So far, those are some pretty broad examples for exploring being LOVEing throughout our week... But we can also play with this as we dance.

In class, one question might be: how can you LOVE your body/self as you dance? Not love as in a feeling you have about your body.... But rather, love as a way you treat your body. Love as in something you can do. How can you show your body/self love, care, & kindness as you dance? Does intentionally dancing your body lovingly change how you move?

Another might be: how can you be LOVEing for the class as a whole? What can you DO to help contribute to a welcoming, loving, friendly vibe before, during, and after dancing? How does it feel to share your LOVEing self with us in this way?

Thoughts? Ideas? How else might you explore this notion of love as a verb this week?

As always, I can't wait to see what we discover together! See you soon!

Much love,

💛 Dani
